Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said the following: John Denver was by far one of the most well-known performers who embodies Colorado. Denver was a member of the Hall of Fame as its first member in 2011. He is now the symbol of Colorado for all people. In all my travels I've encountered many people who are not from Colorado. They will declare, "Oh John Denver!" when they hear that you are from Colorado. Brown explained. Take Me Home Country Roads written by co-writer Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo artist following a short stint in small folk bands. Danoff wrote the tune with the inspiration of Johnny Cash, but Denver could hear an early version and knew it would become one of the Top 10 hits. After performing the song on stage in Washington D.C. to a huge crowd, the singer released the song a couple of days from now.
